Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst

Location: Amsterdam, Romania (Remote)

Primary Responsibilities:

System setups and maintenance templates/reports (20%)

  • Setup of new investors / legal entities/vehicles/deals/transaction types/allocation rules in the system

System usage & maintenance (20%)

  • High level of system usage
  • Perform specific system-related tasks such as applying scripts, copy databases, run SQL queries.
  • Enter and change key information as a super-user of the system.
  • Train junior staff on system usage and best practices
  • Ensure systems and tools are supporting the accounting and information requirement by:
  • Executing maintenance/upgrade of existing systems, tools, and templates.
  • Maintaining and developing efficient data feeds into reporting tools and templates.
  • Implementing new systems and tools.
  • Preparing documentation.
  • Executing change management procedures.

Innovative Solutions (10%)

  • Analyze the requirements through a thorough understanding of the use of information by the end user.
  • Implement automated reports/analyses/checks (ad-hoc and standard) necessary to ensure completeness and integrity of information.
  • Spot issues in the use and working of the system and associated templates.
  • Implement innovative (automated) solutions to provide information.

Project Management (40%)

Execute assigned project tasks:

  • Make project planning.
  • Engage and manage project resources.
  • Monitor and report progress.

Develop Professionals (10%)

Provide coaching/training to colleagues in the use of systems:

  • Contribute to the objective setting and appraisal process of junior S&C IT colleagues.
  • Signal potential problem areas.
  • Provide a development plan for system usage skills of the IA team.

Requirements:

Education & Certificates

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in Business Informatics, Business Management, Business Administration, or Financial Management.
  • Additional training/qualification in accounting and/or systems development is a valued
  • Fundamental Accounting knowledge.
  • In-depth experience with Microsoft Excel (advanced knowledge).
  • Advanced VBA knowledge and one or more accounting systems. Preferably experience with Access Databases, Crystal reports, and SQL.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 0-2 years working experience.
  • Prior Internships in Business Intelligence or Data Analyst would be an advantage.

  • Experience in the usage, implementation, and maintenance of (accounting) systems preferably in a financial service environment.
