Job Title: Demand Planner
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
About the role:
As a Demand Planner, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and executing the demand planning process to ensure a timely and reliable 12-18 months rolling Demand Plan / Forecast for product lines in all European markets, by working closely with Sales and Product Marketing.
You will be based in Amsterdam as part of the European Supply Chain team and report to the Demand Planning Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis:
- Monitor, analyze, and report demand planning and order wallet-related KPIs
- Analyze and interpret data related to sales, customer behavior, and market trends
- Identify patterns and anomalies to improve forecast accuracy and responsiveness
- Drive reporting and data analytics across the department
Demand Forecasting for relevant product groups:
- Shape the statistical forecast within the network by using the knowledge of the past performance/events and the product phase in/out information, and providing relevant inputs to the external statistical engine
- Develop and maintain accurate baseline forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and bottom-up inputs
- Merge and challenge all contributions to provide a consensus forecast and prepare the documents for the relevant S&OP events
- Conduct analysis of the forecast, past sales, and demand to initiate actions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the process
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, production, and supply chain, to gather relevant information for demand planning activities (process) to ensure on-time and reliable demand plan
- Prepare and conduct demand reviews with Sales & Country Managers
- Participate in pre-S&OP and exec-S&OP meetings to ensure alignment between demand plans and operational strategies
- Support execution process within a month capturing demand changes accurately and aligning it with the supply team/APS system
Continuous Improvement:
- Regularly review and refine forecasting models and methodologies (provided by 3rd party)
- Implement best practices in demand planning and recommend process improvements

Requirements:
Hard skills and experience:
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management / Operations Management or an adjacent area, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- 3-5 years of experience in Demand Planning and Forecasting with hands-on experience with statistical forecasting techniques
- High level of analytical skills
- Adequate understanding of general supply chain activities such as supply planning, manufacturing, and portfolio management
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP ECC preferred), advanced proficiency in reporting tools (PowerBI), Microsoft Excel, statistical tools and software, and APS software (SAP APO preferred)
- Fluency in English, and knowledge of other European languages is a plus
