About the Position:
As Finance Director/Head of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the organization, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and providing strategic financial guidance to the executive team. You will play a key role in financial planning, analysis, and decision-making to support the achievement of the organization’s goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• To be the Business Partner with different stakeholders (commercial, launches, BD, supply chain) to create business value.
• To lead monthly/quarterly business review (MBR/QBR) together with the GM, share critical information and strategic recommendations identifying risks and opportunities.
• To participate in tender bids and business cases providing a financial insight in order to maximize business opportunities and ensure economic viability of new businesses as well as follow up on investments. Ad hoc tasks and analyses as requested by Group/Country Management or self-identified.
• To lead and coordinate forecasting/budgeting/business plans process collaborating with senior management in shaping mid and long-term strategy.
• To define the optimal analytical structure for the business. Oversight of cash flow planning and working capital management proposing correction measures.
• Processes optimization ensuring operational efficiency and high quality financial and controlling operations.
• Representation of the country finance team in global projects or initiatives. Support to other areas such as Regulatory, Tax, BD and M&A if any.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard the organization’s assets.
• Lead and manage the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members.
• Manage relationships with banks, plan ahead for cash flow and working capital requirements
• Optimize financing costs, manage FX and work with Global HQ on long range planning for cash & working capital management
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or CA/ACCA/CPA preferred.
• Proven experience as a Finance Director/Head of Finance or in a similar leadership role within pharmaceutical or similar industry.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in financial modelling and analysis tools.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Proficient in financial software and ERP systems.
• Pharmaceutical industry knowledge, especially in generics space would be a plus.
• Fluent in Dutch & English. Additional European languages would be advantageous
