Role: Medical Manager

For our dynamic growing, innovative Pharma division we are looking for an experienced Medical Affairs professional who dares to look outside the clear-cut frames of a common big pharma MSL or Medical Manager Job and who wants to operate in an autonomous entrepreneurial way. This job offers you the opportunity to develop in the broadest sense by being engaged in all aspects of the business and managing your own daily work. The Medical Manager is responsible for the field-based execution of the Medical Affairs strategy and Medical projects within Derma Oncology. Medical Affairs support to the business is also provided of which a demonstrable affinity with seeing commercial opportunities is required. You will report to the Head Medical Affairs in Europe and work together with the Commercial Head, the local commercial team, and the international Medical Manager team. The European Management team is located at different places in Europe and the European offices are in the Netherlands.

Major tasks & Responsibilities (>60% field):

  • Execution of the Medical affairs strategy regarding medical scientific projects
  • Identify and develop peer-to-peer relationships with country KOLs, as well as other influencers and leaders of the scientific and healthcare community, utilizing scientific and medical evidence-based information
  • Strategically prepare and support the development, and launch of products through scientific exchange. Our product is indicated for locally advanced basal cell carcinoma and we reach out in the Melanoma area.
  • Respond to requests for investigator-initiated trials
  • Ensure the appropriate dissemination of clinical and scientific information regarding marketed and pipeline compounds in a timely, compliant, and ethical manner
  • Develop links with and support national, regional, and local networks in Derma-oncology as well as in future potential TAs
  • Communicate the latest emerging data to identified experts, respond to unsolicited healthcare professional inquiries

Key Performance Indicators/Result Areas

  • Awareness level of medical treatment among treating Derma-oncologists in the country and among national Derma-oncologist KOL community
  • National peer-to-peer program planning and implementation
  • Setting up and successfully leading local engagement plan Planning and implementing national symposia (stand-alone or within relevant congresses) Local medical publications Scientific presentations in hospitals
  • Prepare a prioritized target list
  • Number of meetings within the target

 

 

Qualifications, Education & Experience

  • Mandatory – (bio) medical (scientific) academic degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of MSL experience in the innovative pharmaceutical industry
  • At least 1 year of experience in a commercial function within the innovative pharmaceutical industry
  • Mandatory- Fluent in English and Dutch, Fluency in French is strongly preferred
  • In possession of a valid driving license
