Private Equity Controller

RESPONSIBILITIES
You will have a dual focus for both our client’s private equity funds as well as their corporate entities. Typical responsibilities include, among others, the following:
The coordination and review of the output from the external administrators, including the accurate processing of acquisition & exit transactions and quarterly valuations
Manage and control the financial reporting process, including monthly portfolio company reporting, quarterly investor reporting, annual financial statements and capital account statements, quarterly Supervisory Board reporting and the reporting to the depository, banks and regulators
Preparation and reporting of financial analysis providing meaningful insights into the portfolio companies and funds’ performance using iLevel
The improvement of non-financial ESG reporting by portfolio companies including the implementation of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive. You are encouraged to take on projects and dive into topics that interest you

WHAT WE LOOK FOR
We are looking for a financial with the right attitude, who has a strong technical accounting background, who is hands-on, can handle deadlines and never compromises on quality. We need somebody who can quickly assess processes and complex structures, pin-point areas of improvement and takes responsibility. You understand or are willing to learn the dynamics of Private Equity, know how to determine priorities and can provide support for the Investment teams.
Because of the high-profile environment you will be working in, it is important is that you have a mature personality, solid communication skills and an open personality. You will be in daily contact with a lot of different (senior) stakeholders and will encounter a lot of ad-hoc issues, and it will be your responsibility to manage expectations and follow through.
